Suspicious 919 Ebay Auction

I was watching this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...141561775&rd=1

Apparently, the 2006 919 only had 400 miles on it before it was parted out. Lots of good parts: adjustable forks, calipers, tank, on and on. I inquired as to what happened to the bike before being parted out. The auction has since been pulled. Seems a little suspicious, unless a buyer offered a nice sum of money to end the auction.

Did one of you WT members buy the parts??? Just curious.

Might have been parts from a stolen bike. They usually do this and dump everything that has a VIN on it. Who knows.

Tried to get a list of parts, condition and prices. Also asked for a "Buy it now" price but did not get a direct respone to my questions.

My thoughts exactly. . .there's no frame. And, all parts are excellent condition. Dump the frame and sell everything else.

I was actually High bidder until all bids were cancelled. Figured I would have gotten outbid, but thought about keeping the painted parts and selling the rest.

In time, maybe try a different paint scheme with no regrets about not having my stock pieces.

Stolen for sure. eBay must of full of "parted out" bikes.
Did I mention they stole my '02 919? F*ckers!

Let me rephrase that....
My 2002 Honda 919 was stolen, I still haven't gotten over it.
