Still Looking what does the group think of this Bike

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motor...=p4506.c0.m245

This is very close to me and has been on ebay before so it has been for sale for awhile. Plus moving up from a 150 scooter the 599 might be better for me. Also I'll be using it to commute to work 30 miles a day. Or should I wait for a clean low mileage 919. I'm not in a rush. Thanks for any input.

599 is a great bike IMO. USD Forks, kickass gauges, hi-rev moster.

For the right price I'd be all over it.

that starting price of 4500.00 should be the ending price.. i took a similar bike in trade couple months ago.. gave them 4100.00... but what do i know i just sell these things for a living... ripper is right.. its a kicka$$ bike lotsa fun... the question is do you want it?? and if so,,,, how bad?

i would offer him 4000 cash... i bet he will give you cash burn pulling the money out your hand

by the way the NADA book on that bike is between 3800-4400

Ditto all the above. If it falls through, keep your eyes on the Tennessee Trader. This time of year, you can probably run across a great deal er two. I know the day that I bought my used 919 back in September 2006 I was looking for a landscape trailer and ran across an 02 919 for about a thousand less than what I'd just paid. Sure it was a year older and had 5K more miles than mine, but in the long run those are just minor details if maintenance has been done correctly.

599 will treat you well, but my vote is for a 919.

I'd buy that bike for the guage cluster alone!

I think it's a decent deal.... It has a couple of goodies. You'll appreciate that little windshield when you commute to work on chilly mornings. The tail bag is very handy also.

If you're coming off of a 150, the 599 makes a lot of sence. Most Americans, myself included, get bikes that are too big. Mine keep getting smaller. First a 929, then a 919, then a 600, now a 450.

You'd better hurry up and buy it before the train comes along. The Dragon probably isn't too busy this time of year....

Ill never understand why the 919 06s and 07s did not have those guages ... ours are very plane and very over priced ..

I don't know about everyone else's opinion, but personally I love the Analog Gauges. Call me old fashioned but analog gauges bring a sort of nostalgia I think this bike was aiming for.

The analog speedometer on a 919 has something like 77 individual digits on it, and 63 hash marks on it. It has all that crap on it, and at night, I still can't tell my speed, even if it was accurate. That thing is next to worthless.
