Speed wobbles

I always hear people talk about them, but I've never experienced one. My first bike was the 919 as a gift when I turned 17, and I haven't had another bike since. The bike has always handled like it was on rails for me, not a single wobble at any speed or any lean angle. Even if I put down the front wheel a little crooked, it straightens when I land with no drama. Is the 919 just designed in a way that it doesn't get them? I often see people talk about how their steering dampeners help and watch them constantly adjust them, but I've never experienced a time where I thought one might be useful.

My second question is, if you have ever experienced one, what caused it? If you were able to save it, how did you do it?

The 919s geometry is a lot more stable than a sport bike, so wobbles are a lot less likely to happen. I went into a tank slapper under acceleration on a crappy road. Didn't save it, chock it up to multiple rider errors.

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided

Mine got twitchy at highway speed and it turned out to be a new different brand front tire needed to run a lower pressure than the previous tire. I cut the air pressure and it was fine.

I got a real bad one on my old R6 and managed to save it. Scared the crap out of me though. Haven't had it happen since on my 599, SV650 or 919 yet
