Slip ons won't slip off

Honda 919. D and D slip ons.

Everything loose. Heated with torch and by running the bike. Already scarred one of the pipes. Kinda pissed. Taking a break until tomorrow. Gotta repack them though.... Funny feeling the PO must have lathered hi temp rtv on there...

To add, sprayed PB blaster on the joint for overnight.

Some ride reports:

I had the same issues, they're not easy to take off. Heat up to full temps, get gloves to pull the can off and have a friend spray the muffler side pipe with an inverted compressed air so it shoots out the freezing stuff. Helps to turn the cans to try to loosen any bonding that's happened between the y and cans.
