Should I get carbon cans?

I know what you guys will say before I even ask LOL!!
Should I get carbon cans? I've been thinking about getting carbon Yoshi's.
I know I'll like the sound but not sure about the look. worried about having too much black, not enough contrast. Especially with the front forks still silver (and no, I don't want to get the forks done black).
Here's my current set up with Titanium Sato's.
What do you think? If anyone could photoshop carbon Yoshis on there that would help.

You have the best set of pipes on the bike already...Why change them

Just my

Only reason Sato's aren't on my bike is because they didn't offer a set up for it...Had they offered one, it would've been on there.

I have a 2 Brothers single carbon can on my bike and absolutely love the way it looks. With the 07 body work and the CF front fender, it contrasts very well. And I even like the way it sounds, which for this forum is unheard of.

Can you ever have too much carbon fiber? If new CF cans make you happy, go for it! You can always sell the Satos, too bad they quit making the CF version, best of both worlds.

I wouldn't sell the Satos, I like them too much. Even if I got CF cans.

voodooridr, What cans are those?

Keep the titanium cans - they look great all by themselves.

What I want to know is, where'd you get the painted side panels? They're sharp. OEM are the cheesy black plastic ones, and I don't think they'd take paint well. Who made yours?

They're the stock side panels. I took them to a body shop and had them painted. It cost quite a bit, $225. It may not have been the most sensible thing to do but I like the look and am happy with it.

Yeah, I had the side panels on Gin's 599 painted yellow to match the bike, totally transformed its appearance. Went with CF side panels on my 919, but I agree the red painted ones look outstanding on your bike!

Thanks! I thought the bike needed more color and wanted to continue the lines of the "body". I've seen pics of gin's 599 and it looks great too. And on yours the CF side panels were the right choice too since you've got the black 919. It looks much better than the plain plastic OEM panels.

Well, no matter what pipes you have, you're going to have carbon in them so, at some point I think it's kind of redundant. But that's me.
