Seeing the Craigslist "finds"....

does anyone have a good story about a bike that had horrible care and maintance, and just wouldn't die???? My neighbors 70's CB750 (one owner) looks just a bit better than those, but still starts and runs every summer (and has about 40k miles on it). I also saw some bikes that looked like those in Sri Lanka that were being ridden daily. Mostly Honda's and Enfields. Most miles on a horribly cared for bike??? Pictures???

I was bummed that nobody had a good story to share. But today I read this one posted on the ZX10 site. I only read the article part. Sounds like guys with a bit too much time, and no sympathy....

Test 2

It appears to work now, and I have no idea why it didn't work earlier. It is interesting and worth a couple minutes to look/read.

Holy crap, hard to believe how they tortured that bike and it still ran. This is really my first bike, so can't tell any war stories about high mileage, but 15K trouble free miles on the 9'er.

It is amazing the torture a Japanese engine will take. My sister had a live-in boyfriend she hated (long story). He had a Datsun B210. She put sugar and salt and even flour into the gastank trying to kill that thing (it was only a $200 car to begin with, which means I'm getting old). It smoked up a storm, but kept running!!! She must not have been trying hard enough.......

She should of peed in it, sure she's a woman but still if she would have tried hard enough she could have blown up that old beater!
