Road trip on the company nickel!!!

Monday I'm taking the 919 from Houston, TX to the Huntsville, AL branch of my company. ~750 miles at $0.48/mile. Life is good.

Any roads I should not miss? I don't want to go too far out of my way because it will be a 12 hour day in the saddle.

Anybody in the Huntsville area want to do dinner Monday / Tuesday? I'm staying at a Hotel on the west side

Not bad, but mind if I one-up you?

I'll probably be running the Buell Inside Pass track day at Mid-Ohio this Thursday... On the companie's dime!!!

When my boss suggested it, I thought for sure he was ****ting me.

783 miles yesterday. Mostly interstate but still a beautiful ride (especially compared to my native gulf coast).

If you're an AMA member, you can get on the "members only" portion of their website and view member suggested routes searchable by state. I've found some great roads through there.

Obsession is a word the lazy use to define the dedicated.

Nice job.
I've had a few trips like that where I did not have enough time to find the best roads. Still there's no better way to travel.

I think I may have a lead on a good road that is sorta on the way... Anybody ridden the Natchez Trace?

The Trace is absolutely beautiful with very little traffic. The 50 mph speed limit is frustrating, though. Heavily enforced by Federal Park Rangers, not state troopers.

Bummer that I didn't make my trackday. It was sold out. :-(
