Ride report and pics of the Ti Satos

Ok so yesterday as some of you know I stoped by Hasbeenracer's shop to pick up his new Ti Satos and PCIII. While I was there I met another WT member, Really nice guy I have no Idea of his screen name.

Any way with traffic I didnt get home untill 7:30 and after taking a few calls for work I finally got to start the install.

All I have to say it was really easy. Didnt use the directions, I did read them afterward but I dont think that counts. Click here for step by step directions with great pics by Nimo

I finished the install at about 11 and even though it was a little late to go blasting around my sleepy neighborhood I did start it. BTW if you didnt know Satos are almost as loud as good looking.

Thoughts of test ride:
But Dyno tells me the power gains were minimal if at all I really could not tell the difference. I did also notice a slight sputter on takeoff that did not go a way even after the bike was warm.
I did however experence something unexpected, stink never smelled it up untill I had the satos on.

I must also say these things sound like million bucks a bit louder than I wanted but I really like the sound.
And they are not to shabby looking either.

Because the performance was not what I had wanted and the stink was bothering me so I decided to install the PCIII.

I did end up taking off the sato on the right side to do the job but it was also easy.

Test ride again and now I noticed a difference. And not so much as power but in that the power is very smooth. It almost feels like a different bike it is so smooth.

ok enough of me yakin along I know you only opened this thread for the pictures.

FYI all except the first of these pick you can click to get the large version.

first the stock look (day I picked up the bike from the dealer)

now with the Sato

Oh and thank you to Hasbeenracer again for a great deal Im very happy.

Nice writeup sword. Since ya got the PCIII you should be able to get it running and smelling sweet again. Congrats, those are some beautiful cans.

THe nice thing about slip-ons and a map. It smooths out the power curve and usually a good amount of midrange. The amount on top maybe a few hp on top. Driveability is best thing out of the deal. The sound from Sato's have a nice rumble.

That new stink is just the newness of the cans & muffler packing. It will more than likely burn off after a while. I'm glad you like them Ryan.

There was a noticeable difference when I put on my Satos and PC3 with the Kyle map.

My Satos are unbearable without ear plugs.... windows crack, car alarms go off, old people stagger and fall. But the best was when I scared that ZX10 rider, when I went around him.
