Retro 2010 Honda CB1100 production bike revealed

Old school look and air-cooled. . .here's the cafe racer-look version:

Let's see if we'll get it here in the U.S.

I like that one a lot. See, Honda can still create great looking motorcycles. Getting them to the US is a different story...

That is nice. I can't find anything I would change, except maybe the rear plastic.

While I love the styling I just don't see it selling well here in the States.

Of course "well" is a subjective number and for Mother Honda, I'm sure that "well" would have to be a fairly large number to even justify the hassle.

I don't see it as just one bike. If you're going to do a retro CB, you need at least one more, smaller bike in the lineup, and maybe two.

It might be wishful thinking, but I see a modernized CB450 and, definitely, a CB750 in the same mold.

Wouldn't an updated CB750 be the nostalgic sweet spot?

It would be great except its air cooled... and it doesn't have a passenger seat... and that fairing has got to go. I almost feel like it looks like a cruiser that wants to play at sport bike. It has cruiser looks but the ergo's look more aggressive than a stock 9'er... But it sure is shmexilishious.

I guess you're too young to know about the original CBs . . . one of the original sportbikes, if not the original sportbike. With the cafe racer treatment, these bikes were the original superbikes.

Personally, I prefer the minus fairing look CB1100F. It's a bike I'd love to have.

Those both look great but I too am a little drawn to the CB1100F concept. I like the unfaired look.

Well, add me to the "I love it" side of the fence.....

The old one, "the original" CB1100F is on my all time favorite list.

It appears that I'm the lone horse here and I'll probably get flamed for this, but yuk! There again I'm not a "retro" kind of person.

I'm not that young...40 in a couple of months. Then again, the closer I get to 40, the younger it sounds!

You're young, and that is a good thing.

What early street bikes were your dream machines?

When I came up, it was H2's and Z1's and the GS1100, the bikes of the seventies and early eighties -

I kind of lost interest when the race replica machines starting coming on strong, they were too single focused for me, not the "Universal Japanese Motorcycle" that could be made into whatever you wanted it to be.

That is how I see the latest CB1100F as being, another in the great line of the UJM tradition.

The original deep red one does something for me, not this one as much....

Give me back that older style flowing header and the polished fins.

I'd pass on that one, in fact.

Holy crap, I like the white one!
Wonder about the seat height, looks low, which would be a good thing in the case of this particular bike..

I love the cafe version! I want one!

Clubman bars would be awsome. Probably would have to have a set to swap on for bike nights but keep the "high" ones on for daily comfort. (i'm only 30, and that sounds old as dirt to me)

Ha. No water pump to leak either.

Yea and those fvcktards at Honda will probably bring this one in to the US and then complain about the lackluster sales when the bike that would do really well the CB1000R remains unobtainable...

They'll never come to America. I love all the versions I've seen so far. Could see any of them in my garage without much trouble (unless you count the kind that comes from the wife).

The 1300 works for me too...kinda ZRX/Bandit-ish, but obviously fresher.

Dunno if I would ever buy one but a big comfy blaster like that would sell wouldn't it?
