You and I have pretty much the same taiste. I like the subdued look. The matte powdercoating on your's is sort of a throw back to 02 and 03 when 919s were painted matte out of the factory.

If the chicken stripe on your front tire is as narrow as it appears in the pic, Way to go! I never did go for glitz and glitter. Anyone can buy that sort of junk. Buy a narrow chicken stripe on the front tire is earned. That deserves respect.

Glad you started posting. I'm sure you have something more to share.

Yea I enjoy the bare knuckle look of the bike the way that I have it know. I have no desire to turn heads by the way my bike looks. I ride in the hills of North Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. I don't have the hero blobs on the pegs anymore, and that is far as I can go without the pegs scraping. I could use some rear sets, but I'm never on the track, and don't ride that hard on the street. I let my knee sliders take all the abuse instead of the pegs.

Speed,

Are those the stock mirrors? They look a lot lower than stock.

I think me likes!

No, good observation, Those mirrors are Buell Blast mirrors. They list for like
$20 bucks a piece. They are the same metric thread as the 919. What I did was put the mirrors in a vice, and bent them down. The metal used in those mirrors are weak enough to bend, but strong enough to take it. Now due to the stress the paint will crack. So you will have to sand, and re-paint. What you end up with are 3 inch round mirrors that you can see clearly behind you without the illusion of convex bar end mirrors. I think the bar ends look better, but my preference in traffic are these.
