Renthal Bars....

Let me start this by saying I fully understand that opinions vary on bars and thats understandable... Rarely are people comfortable the same way.

I had Renthal Ultra Lows on my previous 04 919, and I liked them just fine. for the record i absolutely dislike the stock bars.

So for the new 05 i decided on the street fighter bend... the bar that always intrigued me looking at the chart (bend number 789) I got them installed this evening, and I'm stoked on them. wider and slightly higher than the ultra lows. Completely different bend... my wrists are in a much more natural position. Plenty of clearance for the tank... the controls don't come as close as with the ultra lows.

+1 on this! Looking forward to some pics and a ride report!
It looks like the street fighters are 3.7" wider than stock... Is there enough reach in the cables to make that work?

Pictures

Pictures of the bars and mirrors installed... all cables were long enough to easily do the job, could actually do bar risers if needed.
Came up with a neat way to not have to drill the bars.. Used an old 700x23c bicycle inner tube and it was a perfect tight fit sliding over the bars to mount the control switched on... much better than even the indexing pins as there is no wiggle anymore.
