Projector Headlight Retrofit
Well I'm undertaking a project... stay tuned lol
Sourced some 2002 S2000 hardware: the projector, OEM ballast and bulb.. we'll see if I can make it work. In retrospect I don't know why I went with the OEM ballast- its much larger than necessary and it may not be feasible to fit on the bike.

Is the s2000 housing a bi-xenon projector? Wouldn't it also be a bit large for the 919 housing? Years ago I went with a 35W kit from ddmtuning which worked pretty well and was compact. You could probably pick up a smaller kit from theretrofitsource or some other place.
It's going to be a lot of work to retrofit a projector housing. I tried on my first 919 and used a headlight from a ltr450 since the 919 didn't fit. Eventually I went to a 2004 599 headlight which provided excellent performance better than the HIDs even using a halogen bulb. I also did a bi-xenon projector retrofit on my cbr600rr using a kit from TRS which performed very well. It was a ton of work though and on my current 919 I just went with an off the shelf LED projector headlight which puts out great light and was almost plug and play.
Good luck and post up if you need help.

It really shouldn't be that hard... the opening for the projector will have to be widened, but it looks like it will fit great. The problem is going to be finding a place to mount the ballast.
