PCIII no go

i bought a new PCIII and downloaded a map from the powercommander site. nothin, the FI light stays on and the fuel pump won't operate.
she runs fine when i unplug it. dummy needs help again

Did you try another map?

Try loading the "zero map" (meaning there are no settings to the map) and see if it works. If yes, it could be the map... but to be honest it sounds like the PC or a wire is bad.

Check the pins on the end of the connections, too.


Perhaps you have a piece of sheet metal under the drivers seat that ate through the power wire... nevermind.

If the FI light is steady on check your grounding and your wire taps. i had the same problem and sent an email to dyno jet and they told me it was most likely due to a bad ground

thanks guys, dummy had the grey and black connectors reversed and it was still happily accepting any map i fed it. map sent sucessfully yup.
anyway lights out, pumps on, battery's dead-all good. port dover here i come. see ya there.
