I know there have been many posts on oil changes, but... it says 3.8 quarts. I put in 4 and not really showing up in the little window. Any ideas??

It has to be standing straight up to show in the window, there will be nothing showing if it's on the side stand

Does 3.8 quarts not include the filter change?? I had it straight up, yet still very low. the filter is so small can't hold that much.

Just changed mine yesterday, used Honda filter this time because I had one. Used 3.8 qts, or if you are using the Gallon jug of the Rotella T6 you use the full jug. On my rear stand it puts the oil just under the top mark in the site glass.

Your engine doesn't read the manual much, but it does care about having enough oil. So don't worry so much about the 3.8 figure, just put in a little more till it shows in the right place in the sight glass...

The towels rotella jugs are 3.98L iirc, even with a smaller filter it doesn't over fill. With a longer filter it brings it just above between the two sight glass marks.
