Noob question!

Hi everybody! I'd very much like to install a set of bar end mirrors on my 07 919. I took the stock bar end caps off and there's a plug in the bars. Is that removable and if so, how? If I cant make the stock bars work, I guess a set of renthals is in my future. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, the bean

Hi Bean, there are several threads on here about handlebars and how to remove the stock bar weights, just do a search and you'll find what you need.

In case you haven't found what you need yet, here ya go.
The stock bar end weights are retained in the bars by spring clips engaging a pair of holes drilled near the end of the bar. To remove them, thread a long 6mm bolt into the weight, push both tabs inward at the same time and the weights should pull out with the bolt, though they may be a bit reluctant to move initially.

If it has already been done, it is safe to assume it is possible to do it.
On the other hand, if it has not been done never assume it is impossible to do it.
