Newbie with a new-to-me 919...

Okay, so it started life as a 900RR, but it does displace 919... LOL!!

In any event, I'mm in So Cal, been riding a while (about 20 years), and rescued this bike on Craigslist:

Runs great, but I'm replacing the chain/sprockets, and the tires (when these wear out--they look like R1100GS/Buel Ulysses tires?!?!).

I was looking around randomly on Google for a new set of Streetfighter type headlights and ran across this place... Nice! Great looking bikes!

BTW, 9Nineteen has an awesome headlight, the Barracuda Newdinamik--any idea where those can be bought? Or a 599 headlight? Looks like a cool bunch of people on here.

TIA!

Yea...
The engine and the color are about right for a 919, though the USD forks, the frame, the exhaust headers, the swing arm (etc) all had me wondering WTF for a bit.

The conversion to a naked bike looks like it was well done!

It's fairly nicely done--apart from the maintenance things mentioned, I'll probably drop a nice rear shock in at some point, hopefully get lucky with tracking down some rearsets, and get the front end done-up (the stock GSXR front end has *zero* rebound damping). I'm picking up a billet bar end mirror on the way home tonight (CRG), so that will take care of that. I'm also going to redo the taillights/plate mount...
