new to me 919 PCIII?

hello everybody, I'm pretty excited about the new 919 I picked up a 2006 model with 8100 miles on her.

the bike has an ebay slip on exhaust "DanMoto GP", the rest is pretty stock. my biggest question is do you really need a Power Commander with just slip ons?

Hello and welcome! No need for a PCIII unless you want to map properly (for peak performance) or smooth out the throttle response.

A pc111usb really smoothed out my throttle, especially low down. When stock unless I was slipping the clutch and or slightly on the thottle or brakes my bike would chug at low revs/low load. Also came off the throttle a little abrupt at high revs. The pc111usb and some map fiddling pretty much smoothed all that out. I wouldn't like to go back to stock now.
Every bike and rider is different. Ride it for a bit and have a think. There's a pc111 around here for sale now I think.
