New to me 919 - 2007 with 6700 miles

Just picked mine up a couple weeks ago. Rode it home and to grab some lunch which is about as far as I could manage on the stock bars. Whoever the PO was he must have been pretty short because along with the stock bars he had a some of those risers that bring it back about 2 inches and up an inch. It felt so far back I was looking around to make sure the American Chopper camera crew wasn't following me around. I took them off to see if it helped the bar position and it didn't.

Did a little research and then decided to make it my own

The cylone windcreen is awaiting to be CF wrapped so please excuse it's whiteness. I'll follow up when its done with a final shot. If they do well with it I will probably yank the rear hugger and have them do it along with the rear grab rail.

List of what I have done so far
PAIR blockoffs
flapper mod
danmoto CF pipes
True tail tuck - plate mounted above fender and tilted back (I do not believe in paying tolls)
Clear Alternatives clear brake and integrated turn signals
Renthal ultra low with renthal bar ends
DEI plate lights
KOSO CF mirrors (chinese knockoff)
Universal GPS/cellular mount
Buell M3 Wind screen mounted (soon to be CF wrapped)

Pending -
Stainless brake lines (just saw a WT special on the forums - yay)
Satin black paint for the chrome instrument cover and headlight ring
Slider mounted Helmet lock
Custom rear set jump plates to allow mounting of offbrand rear sets (that don't cost 500+ dollars)

More to come.

Thanks to everyone who has already posted up info in the forums that allowed me to get the mods done so quickly.

I'm afraid I might have paid too much but it was super clean and I had the itch to ride. I paid right around 5700.

It is, I have another bar cap I am thinking of throwing on so I have not quite tightened down 100 %. I just could not help but show some pictures and be part of the cool kid patch, lol.

You can always second guess if you could get it cheaper. You still got a great value. That bike will give you a lot of trouble free miles.

just got inspection sticker at a honda shop....every salesman ask if i wanted to sell the 919...they said there in demand......machanic who did inspection just looked at it didnt check a thing and said great bike its in nice shape real clean.....that surprised me because bike been outside for last 3 years and wash once a year.....so i started to look at all the used beat up sports bikes...i think they would have put my 07 on the floor for some crazy money and probably got it.......so what ever you paid it was worth it

dont need a bike to ride the fast lane

Good to hear. I finally got the Carbon Fiber windscreen on today and my tags showed up in the mail to match. Gonna throw them on and probably go for a little ride later tonight when it cools down a tad. Will probably throw up a few pics tomorrow.

Looking good! Honda makes a cf cover for the gas cap that would look great with the cf wrapped windscreen, unless you swap it out all together.

I ended up going with a full CF windscreen. It ended up being cheaper than having it wrapped but was just a pain in the ass to find a supplier. I already have another gas cap coming. Those applique things look ok but I am just not a big fan of them because if they start to peel off they tend to leave a gummy mess.

Should have some more pictures later today. I just forgot how to attach them and got a reminder this morning, lol.

Killer! I agree. I threw mine on cuz got tired of looking at the silver on my black tank, and grabbed it at the shop while buying other stuff. Been lucky with it, but the ones other guys have shown here look great. Great job, and keep the pics coming!!

Nice bike, and nice mods! Any interest in getting rid of those risers? I wouldn't use them for daily driving, but once or twice a year I try to take a long distance tour, and wouldn't mind having some risers to throw on for those trips if I can get them pretty cheap. PM me with a price if you want to get rid of 'em.

Yeah, I don't think I need to hang on to them. I'd probably settle for 25 bucks and I'll ship them at that price if you like. Let me know and I will pm you may paypal info.

That turned out great man! Looked really clean before but now you've made it yours and it look incredible.

I would have yanked the stock bars on my '02 on the way home for Maryland if I had the Renthals with me. I went with their high road bar and their ends, changed out the mirrors and changed the pegs. Not the color they showed but I like them.

Just need to have the rearsets modded and some slip-ons and I'm done.

'Nuff talking about my bike, again, you did a great job on yours brother. I got all kinds of envy going on here. Congratulations!
