New here

Hey there, new to the site. I've had my 2002 matte black 919 since April and I've put on a little over 8000 miles this summer. I currently have Sato CF exhaust, PCIII, flapper mod, fender emilinator, integrated led brake/turn signals, lsl sliders, pazzo black clutch/brake levers, crg bar-end mirror, and pro-taper bars.

I've always loved naked bikes. This bike has given me a great run, but I'm just starting to get really annoyed with it. My right hand goes numb in about 15 miles. It does it the same with the stock bars and the pro-tapers. My chain is completely shot with 4" of play with 14,000 miles on it. I lubed it every 500 miles and cleaned it also. I have a 520 conversion waiting to go on wt +2 sprocket in the rear. Still have to order the riveting tool.

If anybody knows someway to correct the vibrations or could recommend some different handlebars I would really appreciate it.

Hey Pstone, welcome. Many of the riders here have switched to the Renthal bars. I use the Ultra Lows to stick with the hooligan look. They seem to work well at reducing the vibes. They are made with thick wall aluminum tubing which absorbs alot of the vibes before it gets to your mitts.

I actually have a set of ultra-lows sitting in the garage. I didn't even try to put them on because it looked like the controls would hit the gas tank at full lock. I might have to try them out then.

I had this similar trouble but I have since went to a good chiropractor and I had a vertebrae up near my neck/shoulders area that was out of place, he pops it back in and i'm good for a while. Only reason I figured this was I never rested the left hand like some people do so both my hands should have been numb but wasn't. So now i can ride for at least a couple hours before going numb, my arse hurts before my hand goes numb and i have a corbin on the bike.

Oh and welcome to WT

Here's a pic of the bike. Haven't updated it since installed the sliders or levers.

I use them and have no troubles with any contact. Nice looking ride!
