New guy here, scored a clean 2007 - 919

Was lucky to pick up a very clean, all stock 919 a couple weeks back. I have had time to clean it up yet. I am not sure what I should do with it yet. It has the original tires and came with all the service records, one adult owner who drove it less than 400 miles the last 2 years. 8500 mile total. It obviously needs an oil change (from sitting)and new tires seem like a smart thing to purchase- suggestions? One more fact I am stupid because I can not determine why the the picture keeps posting up-side down!

Great find and congrats! Oil change and tires are a good start and then ride it and see what else it needs. May want to check/ flush the brake fluid if it's dark.

Enjoy!

Nice bike, excellent colour! I'm very envious of those low mileage finds...

I saved the pics, flipped them, uploaded them and they uploaded upside down too. Weird.

Congratulations on a very good find.

Are you sure it's not the bike that's upside down?

Nice find! I've got the 06 919, same color.

Bit of advice, check the fuel tank and maybe flush it out if it's sat a good while. We've had some with problems because of improper storage.

As usual, all the fluids, brake, oil, etc...

Change all the fluids; oil, gas, brake, coolant. Tires if it sat. Battery may also be in need of a change depending on how old it is and how it was previously stored. Also check the chain tension and clean/lube it up. Then ride the piss out of it! Maybe do some mods!!!

So if I understand it is complete with brackets and all? If so , I would take one at least to have. Experience tells me on some parts you pick me up when you can. I could PayPal on Friday, when I am back in my office.

Have a sister in Cesco and we recently sold a family house there. I am in Ohio
