New 919 member/owner

Hello all. I purchased my Black 2002 919 in Cinci and live in Columbus Ohio. One 919 owner I spoke to told me about this site and I've been reading it for about a month now. Great info and some of you are twisted. Right up my alley. My previous bikes are '85 Interceptor, '93 Katana, '92 Seca ii and now that I'm riding again and older and wiser...a 919. I look forward to chatting with you all.
Steve

Careful, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of monkeys.

But, do tell. And, motorcycle pictures please.

Welcome, Steve. Where abouts in Columbus? I'm right next to Franklin Park, commute to Pickerington almost daily on my 919!

Like I said, it's a black '02. 13,000 miles and got it for $3500. Seemed to be a good deal. The only mods so far are frame sliders, OEM wind screen painted flat black and bar end mirror. A seat recover is a must this winter since it's not too comfy. Probably have Sargeant redo it like Mr. Mikes. I've only had smaller 600's in the past that were all carbed. This is smooth and moves. I LOVE it.

I'm actually in Grandview. I ride to Rickenbacker when it's not below my 45 degree cut-off! (here come the fair weather comments )

My 2cents:

Sargent is the way to go.

Someone sent me this picture of a sketch (Ratdog?) a looooong time ago and Sargent actually used it to make my outstanding seat.

I took advantage of the fall discount and for me it was the deal breaker.

I'll get a good pic of my seat and post shortly.

The "atomic foam" (yikes!) breaks in nicely. Five years in and it now feels just right.

Spamming your request in three different unrelated threads is not a good way to start your time on this forum....
