Need opinions on my exhaust

I remounted my exhaust so it flows into the tail better. The pipes were for an R1 and the tips point accordingly. I was going to order different end caps for them so they point the right way but am kind of liking the way they look.

What do you guys think?

I personally think pointed down would look better. What cans are those? Where did you ever find that colour?

Nice Job!! Way to think out of the box!!

So what if there not perfect yet, it's a work in progress right...IMO the only thing not "great" about it is the color of the cans, but that's easily remedied.

I kinda like the angle of the tips...might classify myself as a dirty old man here but they kinda point to the sides like a young set of...yup...I like 'em

I gotta ask, did you use the midpipes from the R1 cans or some other source?

I also like how tight they are to the bike...really slims her asz down from the rear view...

Yup...I'd say you did good

I think those cans look fantastic! ...but is it the photo that makes em look like they don't quite match the bike's paint?

Why did you choose to go "outie" rather than "innie"? Just curious.

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!

I think they look great! Maybe pointing them out it will help with the stink. There is alot more red than I personally prefer, but it does give it a unique touch. You should run it like it is, and if you get tired of it you can always get or make different tips.

The outward tips I can handle. I don't like the color. It's too close without matching.

If you like it that's all that matters though.

No, it's pretty much spot on for the rear-view pic. Side view looks nice, but from behind I can't help but think "derp derp"

The mid pipes and cans are Hindle. The color of the cans are a hair lighter than the paint on the bike but looking at the pictures it makes it look more drastic than it is. Hindle has anodized exhaust in red, blue and black.

If I change the tips I will go with the Euro model tips which can be seen here.Hindle Photo Gallery - 2007-2008 CBR125R/2007-2008 CBR125R

The way I originally mounted them and more info on them can be found in this thread. https://wristtwisters.com/naked-bikes...w-exhaust.html

I would turn them slightly down and out, say 7:30 and 4:30. As they are, they look strange. Are you doing this to ameliorate jacket stink? If not, I'd put them back to "straight back".

Looks a bit odd. looking at your original thread, can you not go to a muffler shop and have them form the extension pipes so that the cans follow the same contours of the rear cowl? If there is room to do that with regards to the rear fender?

When I put my Satos back together, I put had them rotated one rivet off. They point in a little bit. I've never bothered to fix it. I will someday, but probably not for another 6 months or so.

With that said, I'd be drilling out the end cap rivets and pointing them in on yours ASAP. It looks kinda goofy like that. The good news is the rivets are cheap and you could knock out the cap change in an hour or less.

I decided to photoshop your above the tail shot to show you what I'm talking about. If you rotate the end caps 180 degrees, it should look VERY close to the attached image....

I kinda like the out-turned end caps. It might help with the stink too! It is different but that's usually cool.

I prefer the down turned look.
I'd be very interested to know if "turned out" has any effect upon the infamous centre high outlet stink ala 919 is reduced.

That stink is the only thing I don't like about the 919 but I love the twin centre high mount look. I have a set of Yosh TRSs on mine.
