sorry i havent posted the last few days, been taking care of family business in nebraska. as you know, im from northern arkansas, and she is in grand island nebraska. long story short, i bolted outta here saturday morning and returned last night. i gotta say, the 919 is frigging rock solid. the ride home was in the rain (yeah, it was a bitch too). but this machine is just awesome, but i WILL be upgrading the seat this winter, plus putting a windshield on it to cut the wind, both which i will be looking for input on them. to you dads here, and moms too, keep your children close, a 500 mile trip sucks (one-way) to help them out. thanks for letting be part of this cool community.
RC, thats not a showercap, its the actual cover that came with the bag, also got one with the tailbag too, they are custom fit.
Omaha, i hope i dont have to make that trip again soon, i still have numb points on my arse, LOL!! imma pretty goal oriented dude anyhow, you could say "man on a mission" type deal. those pics are all i took if that tells you anything about me.
Glad to hear your trip went well. The seat is a must. Just got done with a 2100 mile trip in August. The wife, 2 side bags, tail bag, tank bag, and myself. The 9er was fully loaded and about 10 lbs shy of max load.
Spencers seat mod: awesome for the money, my arse (and the wife's) had no complaints.
Windscreen: I used the Givi A755, should be the right one. Was perfect for me I'm 6'3". Kept the wind off my chest, and let it flow around the helmet.
Bill, next time you're heading to G.I. give me a shout.
I lived my first 20 years in GI. Be glad my parents didn't see you there. Red 919 with a Ventura rack, they'd have thought you stole mine!
Let me know if there is anything you need help with in the future regarding anything with Grand Island. I have lots of family & friends there.
And I bet the roads here make you thankful you have roads with curves in them down home!
