My next bike

http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/ben...racer_2007.php

Won't happen until next season at the very earliest. But I saw a few of these in person, and I'm in love. Plus I'm partial to Triples.

I hope you're right
For me, it kinda looks like the futuristic mock up of a bike rather than a bike.

Garage
I saw that at RA last year during AMA superbike. It's pretty damn sexy in person.

I personally can't stand race-replica bikes, and here is why:

1. You, your paper gangster cousin, and your mom all own one
2. Paint your 600R flat black, and it would be hard to distinguish it from an R6 or any of the other race-replicas for that matter.
3. Clip-on handle bars
4. I-4 motors are boring

As a track bike that is one thing, but when I ride on the street I prefer to ride a street bike.

Nice. The paint is um, "pimping"? Gold body work, blood red frame?

Kinda makes me think about a supermodel. Fun to take for a ride, high maintenance, and the cosmetics bill would run you a fortune.

Fff, I have never really thought about the things you said eariler. Don't take offence to what i am about to say, because it's not aimed at you. Black paint and what other people are doing, or what other people think of what I ride had never entered my mind, mostly because I couldn't care less. The 600RR looks like a fun change of pace. In the past 5 and a half years i have put 70+K miles on 9s, so for me, a 6 is different. Motorcycles are reasonably cheap. I intend to buy a new one every 3 or 4 years from now on.

Here in Indiana, 90% of what is on the road is Harleys. And none of tham can ride for chit...... don't get me started about that.

So, you want an Italian bike that is made by Chinese standards?

Enough with the haters, it's a cool looking bike, very futuristic indeed! I would love to see one in person, just so I could comprehend all of those crazy angles and styling cues.

I'll still stick with the 919 though, if I were going for any other naked bike it would be a Triumph Speed Triple or a KTM Superduke.

You need to see the base eye doctor again. The Benelli is an inline four, and not even close to a Tuono.

The first pic is a 2007 Tuono Factory R. The second is the Benelli Cafe Racer.

Oh definitely no offense taken. I don't ride because of what other people think either, but it sure is a really cool feeling to roll up to a bike night or something and have everyone look at you and go "What the heck is that thing!" Plus motorcycling itself was born out of the idea of breaking away from the norm. The 600RR is definitely one sweet machine, and if you are going to have a great street bike like the 919 also sitting in your garage, then good on you. If I had the money for more than one bike, I would no doubt have a race-replica (most likely track only though) sitting in my garage.

As far as Harley Riders go...yeah don't get me started either.

Having seen one in person I can tell you that the fit and finish of these bikes is 2nd to none.

I really like the 990 KTM, but I'm not sure I would buy it, idk why. I already own a Speed Triple, so the Benelli makes sense as the next step

I am pretty sure that the Binelli comes at quite a cost being a hand built machine. I have seen little to no service infrastructure placed in my area with concern to Binelli. It is for sure a sweet machine. I would be concerned with the costs and sevice if needed.

Check this site, it lists dealers in the USA. One of the dealers is up the street from my house.

but will it have the great on-line support group like the 919? Nope!

doesn't look much differant than the bking to me. same headlight, same intergrated turn signals, under seat exhaust... ! if you got the suzuki you would also get the following: greater dealer network, cheaper service, more hp & trq, and enough extra money in your pocket to replace the ass-ugly pipes.

I think exclusivity is a cool feature of these bikes. No Benelli, no Aprillia, no Bimota in my 'hood. Then reality smacks me in my head.... no 919s in my area either. I'll keep the 15K and ride what I got for now.

I got to ride the Benelli TNT today, and it was freaking awesome.

One quick power wheelie and a few short blasts up to the tripple digits, never did take it past third gear.

I feel fortunate just to have gotten 15 minutes of seat time.

VERY nice.

BUT...the 919 is my baby and I will continue to love her (at least another 20K miles, ha.)

Obsession is a word the lazy use to define the dedicated.
