I'm thinking this is a great excuse to start mod'ing the heck out of your 919.

Hope you're ok.

That is sickening! You are lucky that frame slider didn't crack your engine case.
What the heck happened? I just reciently bought the rear cowl from Service Honda for about $168.

It's great that you are getting better. Remember one thing. Being stubborn about getting better and pushing too hard can cause more harm than good. Trust me when I say this. I've pushed too hard and will regret certain pains and issues forever. Push yourself, but remember you are needed by many for so many years to come.

Heal First, Fix Later After a real bad accident, it took me 8 months to walk again - only because I had a head strong nurse who would not allow me to push it. Take your time to heal. It will have long lasting effects on you and your quality of life.

Sorry to hear about that. Hope you heal up nicely. From personal experience, a new gas tank would have cost me around $700 from a dealership. On servicehonda.com I got my new one for $446 including shipping. It was painted and everything. All I had to do was swap the gas cap, fuel pump, grounding wire and hardware from old to new.

I agree with WIM, heal first and fix later.

I also got my tailsection from Service Honda.
Healing also gives you time to browse ebay for certain parts. Set your search criteria & check your emails.
Someone on here may be willing to part with their stock handlebars.
Take your time. We're glad you're still alive.

Ditto what's already stated. Sucks big time about your bike, but it can always be replaced and/or repaired. You, can not. Truly glad to hear that you're going to be okay. Hope you recover quickly.
