moto jack points

I've read the posts pertaining to the center stands/conversions/tricks and they are all really cool ideas. I have a question regarding the castings on the bottom of the engine case--you know, the four little protrusions. Are those meant to be the jack points? They look too weak to support the 400+ lbs, but I can't think of any other reason for them to be there? Whatcha think?

Thanks,

brev

I believe those are for when the motor is out , so that it sits level when on a bench or table.str8

They are there so you will break one when you try to remove the drain plug, then you will buy new cases!!!

That makes sense... Thanks! Looks like the center stand mod is the best way to go. Is that mod on the Honda or the German stand?
