Missing - 919 Bar End

Noticed that one of my bar ends is gone. The inner piece seems to be in place still, but the outer weight and screw are gone. Anyone have problems with these vibrating loose? Also wondering how much $$ to replace.

Known problem. I can't remember the cost, you'll miss a lunch or two. Locktite them in (both of them) when you replace the missing one. Also, see the stickies. The shifter bolt can vibrate loose also.

Think I might still have one with the bolt in the storage room somewhere.

PM me your mailing address and I'll send it to you.

If you still have the factory mirrors then just get some bar end mirrors and solve your problem with an upgrade , the Motrax mirrors come with the bar end adapter for about 50 bucks.

Or buy some aluminum handlebars and you won't even have to bother with pesky bar ends.

Well, sorry Madmotor, can't locate the bar end I saw a few months back. It's there somewhere but the storage room is way overdue for a cleaning. PM xrmikey about the ones he offered.

Happy New Year!

Any chance you might have found that extra bar end? I've got one missing on my '03.

TIA!

For details on how to get the inner weight out, go to the thread "9er OEM barends", a couple of pages back.

I don't know how much weight was saved by going to an aluminum bar and bar ends, but it must have been substantial, cuz the front end comes off the ground so easily now.

Just lost one off the 600rr......the replacement bar end and screw ran me $10.16 + tax. I am not sure if they are the same part but I thought it would give you an idea.

Anybody know if it's the same part? Where'd you pick it up?

I put snazzy carbon fiber ones on mine for some reason. Guess I didn't have anything better to buy at the time...

Not a great pic, but you can see if you look
