Mirror suggestions?

Hello all.
I am wanting to replace the stock mirrors on my 919 but was hoping for suggestions from others who have found ones that they would recommend?
I am unfamiliar with the brands and unsure what to look for.
I think I will stay with the chrome look but definitely want to move away from the roundies.
Thanks so much.

Honestly it's personal preference with mirror choices. Your budget also comes into play. There are a lot of cheap options on eBay or more expensive ones like CRG, Rizoma, Joker machine, etc. Your best bet is to do some research. If you Google Search , Honda CB 919 mirrors and click on images you will find pictures of how several types of mirrors look before you buy them. If you see something you like and need help finding them, post a picture and we will help you find them.

Thanks so much. I was thinking a budget of $75 might get me a decent set. I didn't want to cheap out and get tons of vibration. But also did not want to waste money where it doesn't make a difference )

I have Aprilla Shiver mirrors on my 919. Got them from a dealer locally and if I remember right they should be in your budget.

i've got the same ones. they are nice, and i think i paid like 20-30 bucks for them. they measure 6 inches across, so they stick out a bit further than the bars+ends but i dig the look

On the higher end I did the CRG bar end mirrors. I have to admit it took a while to trust them because Im used to the stock mirrors. But once you realize you have almost a non existent blindspot around the back of your bike lane changing in traffic or on the highway is for me better. I have a hard time at my age (which is not that old), looking to the rear on either side to check if some one is riding in there. I would rather trust my mirrors and I also like that when Im NOT in traffic which is my more familiar pattern, my mirrors arent in my face and I can focus on the road Im dealing with.

Also, the one time I wrecked a 919 the stock mirrors broke my ribs when I went over the bars. So it was my fault, but my ribs really dont like those mirrors.

I had the mickey mouse, the Aprilia, cheap bar ends, and finally got a set of CRG lane splitters. I love them. No vibes, good optics.Got a used set off ebay for like $45. Add the CRG bar end adapters for $15 and for $60 i have a great set.

Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.

I also have the CRG ones, and while they are quite good and of high quality a note is that they increase the width of the handlebars significantly...

Which for me is a nono because I like to be able to squeeze through cars from time to time...

I roughed up the stockers with sandpaper and shot them with Rustolium matte black.

They looked pretty good. But mostly, they became unnoticeable. Matte black works wonders at making things disappear.

I think you're supposed to paint the chrome part, not the mirror part...

I have bar end OD clamp type CRGs
They don't vibrate.
They have very good optics.
The lenses are in a much better position than the stock mirrors are.
The lenses are on the small side, but adequate.

Somewhere along the line, I procured a second set of Super Duke mirrors. Those are still on the 599. 599 mirrors are way ugly. There's no hope there.

All mirrors are kind of ugly, and stick out, IMHO. Like I said, if they're matte black, they're a lot less noticable. When I park my bikes for the winter, the bikes go in my basement. I'll take the mirrors off, if it's easy to do, because I think it looks cool. But when they hit the street, I put the mirrors back on. Safety first.

I did like my painted 919 stock mirrors.

Bought Aprillia Tuono replicas, same as Shiver ones, I think. Very cheap. Look good and the angle gives good vision.
