Metisse Radiator Cover

I bought an 03 919 a few months ago and I'm absolutely hooked with this bike. My previous bike was a 03 BMW F650 which was OK but I definitely wasn't thrilled with it. Before that I had a 88 Honda Hawk GT - which was a sweeeeeeeet bike - kind of like the 919's little brother; but it felt to small and the gas range was limited.

My bike is bone stock - which means i have a blank canvas to play with this winter - I'm pretty stoked about it. So..........after several weeks of searching this site and looking at other people's bikes I've started compiling my loooooong list of mods and one of the things I like is the metisse radiator cover. But.........i haven't seen any other members with this on there bike and its kind of surprising to me because I think aesthetically it looks very nice. So.................what gives? Does it hinder performance?

People use them, but I don't think it a popular item as the stock piece functions as good or better by directing air into the rad. By all means, if you want it get it. It certainly will not hurt the bike any, and if it makes it look the way you want then you are all set.

Right here. Straight from the fatherland for $65. Don't let the German scare you. I got mine in about a week or so.

Bought the same one, same ebayer, a year ago and powdercoated it black, among other things on my bike. Happy with the look.

I speak some, but who the hell knows what "laser cut polished stainless steel radiator cover" is in any language? I just look at the pictures.
