MCN's top 10

*If someone would be so kind as to post a link......

How did the 919 get into the top 10?

A few of the other usual suspects here got mentioned as well.

I must admit, I was also somewhat suprised to see it had made #8! Its UK based results of owner's ratings. In the UK they are more naked bike orientated than in the US, I reckon. I guess it is a sobering result on just how good this bike is overall, even with critisim for being somewhat boring. I still maintain that if Honda spent just a little more time and effort on it, looks and gear wise, it would even be more of a cracker than it is.

See, I knew the 919 to VFR swap was a downgrade

Sideways. Not better as some want to portray, and not worse. It's all according to what you want it to do.

I actually like MCN's reviews for now, although they tend to get a lot of flack in some forums. IMO they seem to like full blown balls-to-the-wall type bikes, such as the 990 Duke, FZ1N, B-King and sports bikes. If you keep that in mind, you can adjust for that when reading their reviews.

I think it's pretty cool the 919 made #8 but I also find it interesting that nearly half the top ten are naked

had a vfr 400 'bout 8 or 9 yrs ago. Wish I never got rid of it. Awesome bike. A little cramped if you're tall, but really nice handling even without much suspension adjustment. But an 18" rear wheel meant tire choice was a bit limited compared to what you can get nowadays. Of course, the fact that it was tiny might have something to do with why it could turn on a dime.
