Maybe an odd question...

Does anyone know how I can increase leg room on my 9er for my wife? She's not that tall, but soccer's done a lot of bad things to her knees and she can't ride on the back for too long. She won't get her own bike; I don't mind stopping after an hour or so, but the random stretching of the legs as we stop at a light and she forgets to let me know is killing me. I'm not a big fan of 2 up riding, but if we could make her more comfortable, it might get better.
