matte black too matte Uranium

The bike I finally bought is matte black. The paint is 100% perfect and doesnt have one chip, scratch, or blemish. I do want it uranium green though. We do have a car bodyshop so painting is not a problem. But where do I get that color the cheapest? Or it also be doable if someone had a green bike and wanted to trade there rear fairing, gastank, and front fender. That would keep the factory stickers in place. Anyone up for that or know where to get a quart of paint?

Asphalt black is where it's at baby!

I have to admit the funky green ones catch my eye, wouldn't trade my black for it though.

I get lots of compliments from people about the green being a good color on the bike. Still wish I had black though. Looks more badass.

I'll trade you a red that needs paint and I have the official Honda Marks/logos (tank, and rear cowel) so you can choose to encapsulate them under the clear coat.

There's your plan and then there's God's plan.........
Your's doesn't matter.

Your body shop doesn't have a mixing system? They should be able to find a paint formula for that color from their distributor or I found the formulas online for my Standox system. The paint code is on the build tag under the seat or get it off the microfiche at ronayers.com. Remember for something like paint that is required to last a long time, cheaper is not better. You should be able to get a pint of high quality (that's all you need) of the color for under $80.00. The matte clear is another component entirely and you will probably need a quart set up. Search for a local auto paint supply store in your area.

Even if they don't have a paint formula for the color, they should have a paint spectrum analizer that will read the color on the bike and allow them to mix up an exact match. That's how I matched the color on Gin's 599 when I had the side panels painted, the first attempt was using the paint code but it was off slightly, then they used the spectrum thingie and the second attempt was perfect.

Oh, just realized, you don't have anything to match, you're painting green stuff black. Umm, never mind.

Since this thread is semi-derailed already, I'll just add that the Graphite / Gunmetal Grey is the best color of them all. I'm so happy I found one rather than the other boring colors
