Lookout KY riders

Well, I just wanted to see how many people on WT are from KY or more specifically the Lexington area as I've taken a job down there and will soon be moving the 919 and myself. (Barring the dreaded apartment search, speaking of which, if anyone from there could tell me the areas of Lexington to stay away from, that would be helpful in the search.)

I've been scoping the roads around Lexington and have been drooling all over the google maps website. Here in Indy I have to drive an hour to find a good road, but it looks to me just minutes outside of Lexington there are all kinds of twisties to be had and conquered. Well, cheers and here's to maybe meeting up with some new WT faces!

You moving to a good area. I lived in Lexington for four years. I'd prefer anything in the south or southwestern part of the city. There's not any "bad" parts really, but that is the area I would prefer. You've got great twisties any direction you head. Once you get down here hit me up and maybe we can get together and I can show you some of the roads.

Personally, I'd stay away from the Thursday night riders in that town. They manage to kill a few each year. Too many of them like to drink and ride.

There's some guys from Lexington on the Louisville-Sportbikes site. Seem like good folk but I've never ridden with any of them.

You'd better hurry up and move before Mr. Winter sets in though.

Ha! Well, I guess the question would then be to go bare-back or not to go bare-back.

Jim, this is just another excuse for me to head out East. I just keep putting it off.

Rob,

Congratulations! I'm jealous. I made one trip to the state and fell in love with the place.

There's a new track fairly close also.....don't know if it's finished yet.

I love the Lex area. You did good!
