looking to change mirrors for my 919

Hello, I'm looking to change out my stock mirrors in my 919. I want to go from round to rectangular or oval. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is this a rhetorical question?

SV650 Mirrors work for me. Cheap price, OEM quality.

If you would like to try these Ducati Monster mirrors ( I added a small round blind spot mirror to the upper corner of each one - shown here w/o the blind spot mirrors),let me know. The view back is slightly better than stock.

If unobstructed rear view is the top priority, bar end mirrors are well worth considering.

Good luck.

Thanks for the quick response.

I like the look of the black ones you show Tom but I think they are too streamline or thin. I can't believe they would offer a better view than the round stock ones. Farab thanks for the link. That is more of what I had in mind but I'm confused on the replies posted on how to get them. As far as Bar-end mirrors, I've neved used them but it seems like my forearms would obstruct the view... and I'm not a big guy.

Is this a rhetorical question?

i figured for less than 25 bucks shipped it be worth a try if i didnt like blacked out stockers. I like the look of the diamond ones myself, and it looks like they should be up tall enough and out far nuf to get around rider shoulders.

Nerver buy koso mirrors. They vibrate like hell. Cheap plastic would fade away if you could bear the awful and dark vision. Mines are some surface imperfections too. As a conclusion it was the worst 40$ i have ever spent so they are collecting dust under my coach now.

Rizoma makes some excellent mirrors for the 919--several different styles. I got the 'Prototype Sport' Universal Mirror, and added CRG bar end mirrors--I like a really wide field of view. Got them at Motovation Accessories:

I have the Rizoma-Dynamic mirrors on mine. They look great and very minimal vibration. Although I did have a "CHiP" get behind me without knowing...No ticket.

I ordered the 599 mirrors. I think I ordered from Ron Ayers. Less than $30 for the pair. They look so much better than the Mickey Mouse mirrors of the 919. I just couldn't see spending all the money for Rizomas or such.

Thanks again everyone. From what I researched, Rizma mirrors are the best... by far. But they are too expensive for me. The best bang for the buck are the Aprilla mirrors. Thats what I'm going with.

I've got a set of Ken Sean mirrors that are coming off my bike. Anyone interested I'd sell the pair for $20 shipped UPS. They look good and are less than a season old. I've got pretty broad sholders and with my standard length streetfighter Renthals they aren't quite wide enough to see directly behind me. I'm putting on barends.

Pm if interested.

Excuse my bumping of an old thread....but I picked up a set of these Ducati style mirrors that marylandmike suggested and I'm very happy with them. High quality, do not vibrate, completely adjustable, and on my '05 black they look like they were made for the bike. I imagine they would look sharp with any color though. Anyway, I have you guy's on WT to thank for getting in my head and convincing me that the mickey mirrors looked out of place.
