That's pretty cool.

I remember when the guy I sold mine too offered it back to me (right of first refusal), it was really hard to say no......

I have threads on my 9er build. Do a simple search to find details. Here's the info on the Barracuda headlight:

I don't know if you remember, during the 9ers build I had a Ducati 748 to ride. I sold that Duc after less than a year at a nice profit. Then after a couple of months, I began missing the beautiful Italian mistress with it timeless design by the famous designer Massimo Tamburini. I found a gorgeous 998 and the love affair became permanent. Sadly, the 9er then had to go.

Do it Roy!! DO IT! That Duc must be lonely sitting alone in your garage! You can't just let anybody buy your old ride.

I went on a ride today....65 degrees F....no wind....no clouds....and no distractions.
The smooth, swift, comfortable, easy handling 919 has just chastised me for ever considering another bike....I apologized to her...

Well guys . . . it has been a looooooong time since I posted on WT when I sold the 919 and got the 998. After two years of owning the gorgeous Ducati, I let her go. I never thought I'd sell my Italian mistress. But good things come to an end for some reason or another. I guess I wanted another "project". It didn't take me long to accidently run across something unique (for the U.S.). Also, after riding my daughter's slightly mod'd new gen Ninja 250R, I don't need a liter bike to have fun, especially in the twisties. Here she is . . . I'm back on a Honda . . . a Japan spec, a U.S. grey market NC30 (aka VF400R). This bike is BLAST!!!!

The person from whom I bought the NC30 from remembers my 919 when it was listed on Craig's List over two years ago. That bike, and the 998, leaves a lasting impression.

Sorry man . . . it's not about the color. The Renthal soft/tacky compound comes only in light grey. Medium compound comes in medium grey (see my 919) and hard comes in dark grey. But I'll agree, I no likey light grey either.

Luckily, I got the bike already registered. A few years back, it first came to the States from Japan with intentions to be a track only bike, as most of these bikes are. The first U.S. owner saw its condition upon arrival and decided not to abuse it on the track. He was able to register it without any problems during the time when it was nearly a non-issue. Now, one simply can't register a non-U.S. spec vehicle.

I just wanted to tell you that this bike was my inspiration to get a 919. I was looking at bikes more than a year ago, and didn't see anything that made me say "WOW!", and then one night I came across your beautiful machine.

I finally found my bike a couple of weeks ago, and I love every second on it, and I just wanted to say thanks. We're glad to have you back, brother.

Spectacular find, indeed. You see a lot of those bike doing gymkhana in Japan. What a blast.

Can you get title/tags for something like that? Or do you ride it on the street and "hope for the best"?

This little gem came titled and registered when I bought it. A few years ago, the first California owner, two before me, went through the proper channels and paperwork. There's no way one can do that now . . . especially in Cali. All intentions by the first two owners was to track it, like most NC30s when brought to the States. But, this example was too nice of an example to tear up the California tracks.

It was either Little or Baby. I felt baby was a bit diminutive. Whichever one you like it does not matter!
