Late to the Party

I seem to not be able to recognize a great bike until it's no longer made (my other bikes are the Valkyrie and the ST1300, hmmm....) Picked up new "old stock" '07 from Al Lamb's Honda in Dallas--yes it IS an '07, just custom painted (by Lamb's) and the chrome instrument (speedo/tach) housing was replaced by a new '03 housing--one more attempt to stamp out chrome. (Other mods: Sargent seat, Rizoma bars, grips, rear reservoir, mirrors; CRG bar-end mirrors, Motovation sliders/bar ends, Superbrightled's WHLEDx5 (red). G&J lines are in, just not yet installed).
Thanks to everyone here for the great sources of info and experience, and thanks to Ripper for making the front brake line holders (still!) available Just over 1100 miles in a little under 3 weeks--love it!!! Thanks all!!

Sweet ride! Start watching for the for details on the Texas Shindig Shaman! We had a pretty nice 919 meet, greet, and ride last year out in the hill country. We've just started talking about planning another one for this coming spring. You and your 9r would be a great addition.

Nice looking bike. Tasteful mods. Count me in on that Texas Shindig, too.

Thanks, all!

Appreciate the feedback, and thanks to everyone here for their reviews/tips/insights--made getting up to speed on the 919 a lot easier.
Ripper--will do. Hope to get them on this week. Just got the line holder last night--excellent bit of machining; it'll look great on the bike!
XRCajun--thanks for the heads up. November is probably the best time to ride the hill country. But, really, there are almost NO bad riding days here--keep us posted!
