Jello Tejas!! CenTex ride?!!!

Beunas tardes senors and senoritas! Where are my TX riders?!

Ok, cut to the chase. I want to get a group ride together for Sunday April 1st. I'm obviously in Austin, but willing to meet in either San Antonio (beefysalada) or Dallas, if no one wants to meet here for the ride. I have no route planned nor do I expect to figure one out because I still don't know shit about good riding spots in TX. Anyone in the area is welcome and please, I could use some help with the organization! Thanks!

Hombre,

The best riding in Tejas is right out our back door. Get your cabesa checked! If you want to do some prescouting of some routes let me know. I won't claim to be the most knowledge of the area, but I have done a few rides... solo and otherwise. Have you hit the three (twisted) sisters yet? thats a damn good start. Just be warned, there aren't many guard rails to keep you close to the road if you do fall off.

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided

Great idea. I wish I could join you but I'm planning a 3k + ride to New England and Canada in late April/early May.

I like this. Especially since it's more "familiar" and closer to home. This would count as my first "long" ride, which I know it's very, very short to all you other guys. I vote for this, especially on the short notice I gave.
The sisters look amazing, but that would be a more planned all day thing for sure. Definitely next ride for sure.

The Three Sisters (335, 336, and 337) is usually a weekend trip from Austin.
While it 'can' be done in a day, it would be a VERY LONG day. Get a room in Leaky or Campwood. Riding those roads while exhausted is not a good idea.

I usually only do one sister at a time. For me, highway 16, to 337 out to leakey and back is a good ride that is always eventful. My first trip on 337 is where I crashed my 02 919. Every trip after that I have gotten a performance award.

I live in Round Rock. As soon as I get my '05 up and running, I'm down for a ride like this.

Weather this weekend is WET (finally, we really need it!), so I'm not planning a fun ride.

I do go out most every weekend, though. Most of the rides I go on are ~4 hours long. Some longer, seldom much shorter.

This is the group I usually ride with... great bunch of people. I'll give a heads-up here before the next ride.

Wet and "cold" this weekend. I think I will stick to the dirt bike for my cycletherapy.

Did a ride to Marble Falls and had dinner.
Yesterday afternoon turned into a good day for riding!

Wish i could make it, central tx is always fun to ride. Im going to rockers vs mods friday-sunday. Gotta do the cafe rides with the bimmer. On the plus side, we have alot more nice weather in tx than almost anywhere else.
