Is this a modded 919?

So I'm looking to trade in my 2002 Yamaha YZF600r and get a 919. Seems like a great bike, glad I found this forum. I found a 2006 919 on Cycletrader near me but it looks to be modded. I'm assuming it has the CBR gauge swap? Would I ever really know how many miles is on it? Should I stay away?

2006 Honda 599 (CB600F) for sale in Waukesha, Wisconsin - CycleTrader.com

***d'oh, just noticed this is a 599, not a 919!

Okay now I found this brand new one near me. What's a reasonable asking price considering it may have been sitting for 2 years?

Good job

$7k isnt bad for a new bike, but try talkin them down more. Also if they won go down try getting them to put now tires on the bike, because stock ones are horrible. Maybe try for free services or a helmet if they r firm on price.

Find out if there are fees on top of that. Local dealer here was asking like $6500 but then there was another $500 in fees. I'm not talking about tax, title, etc. This was basically profit disguised as dealer prep and similar garbage.

Make sure you know the bottom line before you start negotiating.

negotiate the OTD price, not the listed price. $7K is not terrible, have seen some for a little less though. should be able to find something with few miles on it for much less. good luck in your search
