I think my bike is radioactive...

Hey folks,

I know there are a couple of threads about weird noises the 919 makes. I notice valve tap. The thought of a valve adjustment has been lingering in the back of my mind for the past two weeks. Also, I notice a geiger counter (link) type sound at around 2000-2500 rpm. It's either a geiger counter sound or a sound a modem makes when communicating with another modem. Anyone else notice this sound? I want to say it's a transmission issue because I don't remember hearing it when the clutch is or when it is in neutral. Help!

Thanks

I also notice a little sounds coming from my bike whenever I go from Neutral to Second gear. It sounds like a whine or a buzz. At first I thought people were honking at me, but I figured that the sound was my bike. Don't know what it could be...

Does it go away with a fresh chain oiling?

Mikochu must have a stock exaust system I would agree that the geiger sound is more than likely the chain. Give it a good lube and check for proper tension. It may be too tight.

I think I ruled out the chain. I don't hear the geiger sound when I'm rolling with the clutch lever in. Once the clutch engages, I hear the whine again...
