I rode it today

That is right people I rode my wimmins 919 to work WITH OUT asking her. When you are the king of your sand castle you do not have to BEG to ride what you feel like is YOUR gayrage.

Now for the morning ride report. In the past I have had fun downing the 919 against my REX (1100) BUT this morning was really the 1st time I really got to ABUSE the 919. It really runs alot better than I gave it credit for and 6th gear roll ons at 100 proves it is no pooch. The 100 lbs lighter than my REX results in turning to sharp because I am used to having to manhandle my bikes and the 919 leans gracefully without much effort. You guys are lucky. I did not have any place to play with 1st gear roll ons so no report there but it felt like it had more snap on bottom that my 1100 REX has
OK way to complements for a DAMN Honda this early in the morning.
Later == Bobby

I was dinkin' around 85 taching 7 g in 4th I think playing with the throttle, and when I wrenched it, the damn thing took off ! I thought, does this thing ever quit ?

Trade the rex for a niner. Can't believe I'm saying that as I liked the rexs but never rode one. Power talks I guess.

My friend has a 2003 ZRX1200 that I have ridden. For 100 lbs heavier than my bike, it doesn't feel too bad. The carburetors smooth out the throttle response so it doesn't just "turn on" like my 919 does but once it gets rolling it has plenty to give. It corners okay, but you have to push it a little harder to turn in that a 919. When we swapped up one day he took off on my 919 and looked pretty jerky. When we stopped he said, "Man this thing has tons of response and torque down low." I thought he was going to sell his 1200 and get a Honda for sure.

She called at 9:30 and asked how my ride to work was. I said fine and is there a problem. She said "Can you say BUSTED"?
I am not sure BUT she may have a hunch I rode something that was not mine to work.

The 919 needs a seatarectomy real bad to start with but then so did the REX. The f/i is way responsive and has a hint that it could make the 919 fun. Feels like a gob of down low power could be waiting for me when I finally do a holeshot or a 1st gear roll on snap. I am not impressed but very pleasantly surprised. That might be a close as a Kawasaki naked rider gets to complementing a Honda naked (cough hack belch burp and fart).

Might have to ride it a couple more days to work just for S&G then hop on the good bike (Rex 1100) and relax again.

She did not yell, threatin, protest or talk about riding the 1200 REX so I am pretty sure I am safe. She did call again and ask how "Mr. Man" was doing and like a man I let that little verbage of hers go by without saying a thing.

Ya all believe on that - right..............

Many many times. My dad had one and bought his st1300. He kept it around for me to ride with him since I didn't have a bike or the money to purchase one at the time.

Well I did find out what happens when you crack WOT at 4 grand in 1st. It tries to imitate the REX.
I was not expecting that outcome so I told her not to try that for awhile.

Rode little crapy red into work today WITH her permission. I already hate thinking about getting on that boat anchor of a REX after this. Her bike is starting to turn into fun - of course that would be for her and not me. The brakes are a little scary since they seem to work pretty good without doing stoppies or sliding the back around.

She says her red bike is hot and I know it. She also said if the fatboy (that be me) lost 30 lbs then maybe he wouldn't make her Honda look not hot.
I am not sure but I think she had a hidden message in there.

WOT at 4 grand in 1st means all you should see is clear blue sky....then if you don't let up, you see asphalt sliding by as the bike bounces end over end down the road. Admit it, you are really starting to love the sexy 919.

A good con-man ought to be able to convince his wife that she looks sooo much more cute and sexy on the zerex than the Honda! Something to do with the color matching her eyes?

She can keep her pint sized little red scooter and I will stick with my Rexs.

Yes at 4k then wot in 1st it was all sky all of a sudden then it was thud with the front bouncing back down. I was really surprised because it came up faster than the Rex does. If it happens again I will at least snap 2nd in the air and see how it rides out. I told her that the 4k 1st gear snap is a no-no.

The 919 is growing on my acceptance but I can already see more riding is in need for my determination.

i think about that too when switching bikes. Even moving them around the shop I'll take the Kaw off its stand and go "umph" as I start to roll it.
But when the road opens up for the gpz I forget all about Little Red.

IS YOU NUTS????????????

Oh UHH I mean her story will be what I tell her it is...........

Also I don't needs no helps getting into trouble especially with her - ya know because wimmins ALWAYS misunderstand, misentrepet or blow it totally out of proportion.

Now for some 919 content:
Can bar risers go on without extending lines and cables? (she asked)
Seat has to get Spencerised
She needs lots more saddle time before a wot run
Took the beemer to work this morning and what a heavy POS it is
Pushed the Rexs out and back in the gayrage last night so I could finish up a customers bike - What a heavy POS they are

I think the 919 is growing on me. Wonder how many times she is gonna let me ride it to work

Bobby! Are ya startin' to see the inconsistency here?

The beauty of the 9'er is, you can ride her hard and put 'er away wet.

Sorta like - uh, you know.
