I Hate Winter

The 919 is sitting in the shop waiting for spring

Yeah a guy can get things done on the bikes, but I'd rather be riding.

Winter is way too long in this part of the world.

All our bikes up here in the Great White North have a lot lower miles on them. So we have something on you.

I didn't get to ride one day last week because of rain, does that count as winter?

I love it! You've got your priorities straight.
Speaking of which, I have a buddy in Denver who rides every day.

Those look like Dunstall mufflers on that nice black Norton.
i had a yellow 71 highrider bought as a rather messed up write off wreck with only 2500 miles on it, which i
rebuilt to be my first bike.
Always wanted a Paul Dunstall Export Special!
Anyway, yours likes real nice and i see it's waiting for the headlight and instruments.
What year is it?

Thanks! It took a long time to get to this point. I also have a machine shop and paint booth in there. Lots of storage. Air conditioned and heated.

It's a 1975 MKIII 850. It's in the process of full restoration. I just put the forks on so I could move it. Those are Dunstalls, good eye.

It has some very subtle modifications. The triple trees are custom billet with oversized clamps so I could change to 1" bars and use modern controls. The forks have Landsdowne adjustable dampers, updated springs, turkite bushings and Brembo brakes with EBC disc. Rear brakes are also Brembo. The dash and gauge cluster is custom also in keeping with period but LED indicators and billet dash. It will look like a period bike but be much more user friendly and safer than stock.

Garage
Are you in Maplewood MN? With the temperatures lately, I'm always paranoid about shit freezing up when it gets this cold.

I had a heated garage in my last house, but I never actually 'worked' on anything... I just did burnouts when I got the itch to ride. Was all fine and dandy until my Realtor pointed out the 'rubber tracks' on the ceiling. At which point I just tried to sell it as 'design decor'.
