Weekend was great--I didn't get to ride the 919, but I did go to the 2-day fun camp at Rich Oliver's Mystery School, up in the hills outside of Fresno.

Rich teaches flat-track racing techniques with an eye towards improving your traction management skills as a street rider--lots of drills on learning to slide your rear tire in a controlled fashion. And once you get the basic skills down, there's lots of racing with your classmates, all on little Yamaha TTR-125s. Never dreamed that 10 hp could be so damned much fun! Backing it in is a thrill indeed, as is stuffing your classmates whilst elbow-to-elbow in a mudhole in a ridiculously tight chicane corner.

A couple more from the weekend. This one from Saturday--scowl of concentration, but my form is still off (reaching for the clutch and not on the outside edge of the seat)

Saving a slide in the mud

Karin Oliver--she cooked us lunch, then suited up and kicked all our butts on the track.

Sorry I'm late joining in on this but I just got back. Spent last week-end in Florida Subca Diving. It was a blast. I sure do love the warm water compared to up here.
