How do I put my bike picture on the site

I can play with my PCIII with my laptop, but I don't have a clue how to "shrink" my 919 bike picture file size so it does not exceed the site limit.

My JPEG file picture is 2288 x 1712 and takes 798 kb
I have to get it down to 150 x 150 and not exceed 64 or 68 kb, whatever.

Can anyone help me along with this ?

Open it in PAINT

Go to IMAGE then STRETCH/SKEW

Enter 7% in both fields

Click OK

Save-AS (with new file name) to somewhere you'll remember, then you should be set.

May have to go 6%, try 7% first

Good luck

a better solution would be use a 3rd party hosting solution.

I personally use microsoft's offering....SkyDrive - Windows Live

you can upload them, and during the upload you can specify for the images to remain original size or shrink them.

For forums i upload them as 600px wide and then just use the insert image button when posting and past the link to the image in there.

doing this way you aren't bound by an image size or file size.

As for image sizing, I use Image ready.. Quick, easy, and before I know it, I'm posting stolen images like a professional pornographer.
