Here we go again...

Well, as the title says, I laid my 9'r down again. Same thing as last time, some jackass pulled out in front of me. The difference this time around is that he didn't stop to see if I was ok, he left the scene. It all happened so fast, I didn't get his plate number or make/model of car. I was thrown off and when I got up to see if I could get some sort of info on the person's vehicle, long gone and too far away to see what it was.

The 9'r is still rideable, no major damage that would prevent it from being driven on a daily basis. Even though the right side of the radiator is a little dented (the end tank), it does not overheat or leak.

As I am going to have to pay for all of this myself and money is kind of tight right now, i'll have to take it one step at a time. First thing is the footpeg on the right side. That broke off and now i'm having to use the passenger peg to rest my right foot. It's kind of akward being that my right knee got scraped up. The scab there does not let me forget.

Anyways, i'll get around to repairing it as soon as I can. It will be kind of difficult being that money is kind of "tight" now (i'm having to help my mom out while she is in the hospital at the moment). If there is anyone who may have some spare parts laying around that I could use, PM me with what you have and how much you want for it and I will do what I can.

Thanks again for listening to my rant.

Joe

Joe Cool, Glad your only scraped up a bit and your scoot has minor damage. It would of been nice if you could have gotten the necessary info on the car or plates and found the a-hole for a little retaliation!!!
Also, Hope your momma gets to feeling better.

I hope it doesen't come to that (loosing my mom that is). Her legs are covered with sores that we don't know where they came from or the cause of them yet. The doctors are "working" on it or so they say. She had gotten bitten last year by a brown recluse and they "said" it was collapsed veins in her leg and treated her for that. All I know is that they better fix it right this time around or else i'm going to go postal on them!

Anyways, thanks for the kind words all. I am on my lunch break at work and managed to get the footpegs replaced (got some fancy aluminum ones, had to grind a little material off to make them fit right). All totalled it will cost me about $1,200 or so to get her all fixed up like new again.

Hopefully it can get done sooner rather than later!

Sorry to hear about you and your bike going down. Glad you're still here to tell us about it.

Post a list of all the parts you need and we'll see what we can do to help you out. I'm moving this week and have a lot of stuff in boxes, but there are spare OEM parts in there somewhere. I'm sure we can get you back on the road for less than the $1200 you were quoted.

Good to hear you're alright.

Thanks for your willingness to help guys/girls. Below are the parts that I will need to make it 100%.

Gas tank
Front fender
Rear cowl
Clutch cover (both the covers, I can salvage the 3 bolts and rubber gasket)
Pulser cover
Right footpeg (even though I got something to tide me over)
Right rear turn signal
Some kind of mirrors (I have mirrors off of a silver wing scooter but any will do)
Headlight trim ring
Gauge cover (I have a black one from a 03 9'r)
Radiator (it's dented on the end tank, still works though)

That's about all I can think of at the moment. I'm sure that I am missing something but I think if I can get my hands on all or some of the above stuff, i'll be good.

I don't know if you folks will have any or all of the stuff that I need but, any help would be greatly appreciated. Money is kind of tight for me at the moment and I will do what I can.

Thanks again for your help guys!
