How many miles on your 919, is it due for a replacement chain?

For commuting you might want to consider going to a 17 tooth front sprocket. Bottom line, better gas mileage without loosing much low end grunt.
You can read all about this mod. at 919.org

If it's a new chain your after the DID 530 premium X-ring VM gold would be my #1 choice along with AFAM sprockets.

Welcome aboard...

Stay with the 530 unless you have a track only bike.

What about your dealer? I don't buy anything over the internet for my bikes.

If you are gonna buy an aluminum rear sprocket you might as well go with the 520. It's lighter, cheaper and the wear difference is minumal. I would suggest a steel rear for a street bike. If you go that route you will be limited to the 530 size however.

For aluminum sprockets, Renthal and Afam are good. Stay away from Sprocket Specialists and the old style Vortex.

Thanks for the info. I decided to do as you suggested m51142, I'm gonna stay w/530 and put a 17 on front. And RxRC as for the dealership in my area I got a sprocket and chain set from them 2 months ago and the chain is already stretched, I ordered what they suggested too. This forum is just what I have been looking for.I would rather get info from people that actually know the bike. Thanks again for the help.
