Heading Out

I'm leaving on a trip Saturday morning...anxious to use the GIVI setup I modified to retain the CF Satos. Those sisters sure sing a beautiful song.

I'll be going from northern New Jersey down Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway, aiming to check out the Cherohala Skyway in N.C./TN, and intending to wind up at Brasstown Bald in Georgia's Cherokee National Forest. I'm figuring round trip distance will be 2100 miles. Camping all the way.

...will file a ride report upon return...

Take it easy, Niners...

Tom

Sweet.

The BRP is closed for about 40 miles north of Asheville. Fun detours though.

I have no idea how long-a-trip you are going to take but you got the weather, the bike and the gear to do so - GO for it...!!! Ya lucky so and so...

Over here, it's still raining like there's no tomorrow...

Have a great trip...

Hope he took his rain gear...........its raining like a mofo down here in SE TN and NE GA. Its been so long since we had any significant rain that I'm seeing temporary rain retardation in drivers, all traffic laws and courteous driving has gone out the window!

Hello, All:

I just returned home from that trip: 1976 miles. I did not have a dry road or some sunshine since last Sunday. Some of the rain was quite heavy. I had a great time, and the bike performed flawlessly....

...will post a trip report and some photos soon....
