hmm... so long as no part of the socket is metal or is a ground itself there should be no polarity issues. But make sure to check yourself.

hmm makes sense. housing is plastic from what i can tell. it'll be plugging into the 599 headlight assmbly using the eastern beaver company harness to plug into the stock 919 h4 plug. dont want to screw anything up here lol.

here you go. just got a response from the ebay seller i bought the plugs from and he stated that polarity doesnt matter. for the sake of the harness and everything inbetween, i just want to double check and be sure.

polarity won't matter at that point in the harness...further back though is a different story.

What is the advantage of using the Eastern Beaver harness over creating a custom harness? Is it just plug and play? $60 sounds kind of steep for something that can be made from about $20-$25 in components off eBay / Radioshack.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm also doing the 599 headlight conversion. I have a relay feeding power to the lowbeam directly from the battery and using the license plate light circuit to switch it on/off. For the highbeam, I'm keeping it simple and using the OEM harness. Both lights will stay on when I flip the highbeam switch on.

well, its a beautiful harness if that helps... yes, fully plug and play. easy to install/remove to retain the factory wiring. keep in mind, $60.00 included the diode, all labor, and shipping from japan. everything is clean, heat shrink wrapped, and very well done in my opinion. plus it's not limited to just the 919. you can pretty much connect any kind of bulb you want
