Thumbs up Group Buy... Sato slip-ons for the 919

Here's a chance to purchase one of the best quality slip-ons for your 919. Dan Kyle 866-667-4925 has offered to hook us up with a $100 discount off of his already low prices.

Our cost is Titanium $599 + shipping or Carbon Fiber $669 +shipping.
You can add a PC3 for another $250 which will give you additional savings on the package.

This Group Buy will start May 1, 2006 and run for 10 days ONLY. No exceptions and please do not attempt to purchase early, your order will not get the discount.
You must mention the special spring 919 group buy.
Starting May 1st. you can call Dan Kyle and place your order.

Any questions please direct them to me and not Dan Kyle unless it has something to do with shipping costs.

Great deal, Mike. My compliments for putting it together.
It may be worthwhile to note that the pic you posted of the Titanium version is the "original" model, whereas the newer, Gen 2 cans have different "banding" at the rear, a smaller core dia., as well as longer nozzles.
Just an observation...

Maybe, just maybe I can put my shiiithooks on some of that tax return soo.

And cycho, your Hornet looks poopy. Give her some TLC or find a horsehead on your pillow. It's up to you.

Bet no one would ever think they'd see "poopy" "TLC" and "Horsehead" in the same sentence.

That's great you guys are all getting in on the Sato group buy. Can't wait to read all of the feedback after you get them installed.

Cool thing for you to organize, Mike. You da man. BTW - you haven't mentioned what type you're buying for yourself.

Mine just arrived today. Man these things are sweet to look at. Almost too pretty to put on the bike. I still didn't get a chance to clean this thing yet... and it freakin' snowed today if you can believe that? Now it's way too cold to go out and wash her down. I don't know if I can wait to install after the bath she so desperately needs before I bolt these on. Man this sucks! Arrrgggh!

Look how pretty though....

Holy [email protected], Moto.
Those look sweet!
The banding on my Ti Sato's doesn't look that nice... nor does it say "Sato Racing" like yours do. Very cool.
Just wait till you light'em up, you're gonna be happy.
Maybe we'll call you MotoSATO from now on!

Man that photo sure looks sweet.
Now I'm totally confused, should I get Ti or CF to go with the matte black 919. Looking at moto's photo, the Ti has a nice grayish look which would compliment the matte black.

Suggestions are welcome!

Yea Mike, after seeing that photo, I would go with the Ti!!!!!

WOW, can't to see all your bikes with the Sato's!!! Wonder how maney guys ended up ordering. When I called on Friday, 2 other guys had ordered. I called right before 5........

Now I have to asked myself, do I keep my Sato's on for my track day in August, or just to be safe to I put the stock back on.....It's just a question that is in the back of my mind....I know my limits, but still, if I layed it down with the Sato's, I would probably cry....lol.

Plus it didn't help when the first time I went to see a trackday, the only guy to wrick was a 9'r......It was raining though.......

I hope the carbons have that banding--never seen that amount of detail in an exhaust! I will know Thurs, install Fri, ride Sat

I too went back & forth between Ti & carbon, got the carbon because I am going for the steathly look + they are lighter. Ti looks very good!

OK.. I installed them... and holy sh!t.. they are not as loud as the stock bafflecotmized cans at all. And a totally different tone. I can hear the engine again... but it's not like the sewing machine sound of stock unmodified exhaust. I am in love! Speaking of love.. my wife thinks the stock look slightly better than the Sato's.. but sit in a car right behind the bike and look up under the tail... and the Sato's have it all over the stock cheapo crap.

Don't look too long under her tail! Look here instead:

It's too dark to get any real good pictures.. plus the 9er is filthy still. More later if you guys want 'em.

Congrats Motocycho- those look sweet!

I have the Ti on mine also. Had them for a couple of years. Bought them soon after the Gen 2's came out. They have the same bands with the "screened" cut-outs but don't have the "Sato Racing" inside those areas. Must be a new detail. Can't tell from the pic, is it stamped out along with the screened area or is it fixed on top?

It's a fool who looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart.

As best I can tell, it's cut as part of the band. It's left as a raised area. Here's a closer look from the same pic.

If it was glued on.. no way it would stay for very long.

So both of you are running PC3's, yes? What map are you going to be running with the Satos. I am running the Kyle map now but LDH emailed me 2 maps yesterday that I'm going to try. He said he thinks the Kyle map is one of them, but I'll try them both and see what the difference is.
