Good Deal?

Still mulling over a 919 I saw a few weeks back... 2003, gray, 3000 miles, asking $4500, I offered $4k, they will take $4299. Very nice shape, clean, bone stock. I told the shop I would call them back with my decision, I have been agonizing for weeks over this, so would like to decide today, thoughts?

I paid $4500 for my '03 in April of 2007 it had 4300mi and was in perfect condition. My brother bought an '03 in May of this year with 6000mi for $3800. I think $4299 is a pretty good deal. I would still walk in with $4150 cash and they'll probably take it.

I paid 5k for my 06 with 3k miles and felt like it was a decent deal (had a hard time finding anything not beat down in the area, though). 4300 sounds like an absolute bargain.

I will agree with everyone...I'd say its a damn good deal, even at the asking price.

I got mine in May, right with the season starting, so prices were probably a little up, but for only $4300. Its a 2003 and had 5k on the clock...Blue Book listed it for $5200...

If you have the flexability i'd go for an 04+

But yeah, that's a good deal.

i have the flexibility, i just have not seen a lot of them...mostly 06 and 07's, and i prefer the gray color, and the price tag in the 4k's. i wouldnt know how to adjust the forks, never did on my F4i

A New 2007 model will set you back about $7700 so that bike would seem to be a good deal absolutely!

Bought my brand new '07 in May for $6900, including dealer setup and a Honda windscreen (but I'm still waiting on the windscreen to come in!)

Good deal Great color
If its been well maintained with proof GREAT DEAL
I'd want new tires for 4300, but I might loose sleep if someone got it first.

Sounds like a great deal to me! I paid obviously too much for mine judging by the previous posts!! I paid $5500 for my 03 with only 1700 miles on it this Spring!!! Bone stock clean as hell though.

I paid $1800 for a 2002 end of may this year.
it's in decent shape w/ 10,800 miles. it has ART carbon exhaust, bar end mirrors, carbon front and rear signals w/ fender eliminator, new tires, along w/ other minor additions. I already put on about 3000 miles.
so, i'm not too sure if $4200 is a good price for a 2003. if it's flawless, i guess it might not be too bad.

There are deals out there. I picked up a mint bone stock '04 with 1800 miles in May for $3900. It was from a private party. This seems like a pretty good deal if its a dealer.

almost fellas, friday did not workout and today too many things got in the way...they still show it in stock on the website (not sure how much to trust in that though...they may not update it too much). i am a slow person when it comes to decisions, lots of variables i will not go into, i just need to be sure. i do appreciate all the support, it is fun reading the responses...shops are closed on sunday's here, so....to be continued...

Yeah, I knew the windscreen was discontinued, but the dealer didn't! So I plan to hold their feet to the fire on it, I have a "We Owe" ticket for it from them!

Not seeming like a bad deal to me. I paid 5000 Last year for my '04 w 1,100 miles on it (I still regard it as a steal, since the silver assassin is the best bike I've ridden)
