Garbage 919 on EBAY

Honda CB | eBay

Beware--<500 miles yet:
Aside from the obvious mods--the rest does not add up....
New tires & sprockets
Spray painted fork; bolts & all (& other bits).
Incorrect hugger & front fender hardware.
Non 919 front brake line & horn (peeking out under the Mad Max fairing).
Non 919 front calipers--face with "Nissin" should be flat not banded.
Clutch perch/mirror mount not right.
Something was welded to the sides & bottom of the swing arm.
No air box covers (plus misc decals, swing arm bolt covers, reflectors, etc)
The shock reservoir is laying on the pipe because someone hacked the tray or did not install it correctly (why was it even out?).
The wiring harness along the right side steering head is pulled from its loop & incorrectly routed.
Poor pair block offs & electrical plug.
Touch up paint on engine covers, rear sets, exhaust, etc.
Nice axle adjusters & manual cam chain tensioner. First mods I'd make with less than 500 miles...lol.
Turn signal indicators are green? Is this a 07 thing? Mine are orange. No Honda wing on the instruments either.
07 should have rebound rear shock & stainless Y.
Incorrectly routed rear brake line.
Air box hacked up where battery goes under side panel.
Homemade copper pipe to the oil cooler????
Cool side stand springs--from a Bic?

You thinking stunted, salvage, or the most damage an owner could do in under 500 miles? Poor bike. This guy is pulling a fast one on somebody.

If you google the VIN, you can find more.

It was sold in 2011 with 4678 miles somewhere in Tennessee.

Both good points. The reflection in the tank pics is an apartment complex not a dealership also despite "no trades too many bikes in stock" & "business hours".

Looks like no gasket between the header & Y (underneath pic).

I haven't laughed that hard at a fairing since I saw the 919 with the meticulously color-matched Windjammer on it

Fine, I'm adding a signature, leave me alone!

Not many miles since that listing, yet appears that most of the abuse happened after. I'd agree with the stunting comments.

The fairing made me yawn instinctively.

It has Chinese gauges that say 500 miles. So the miles are unknown. He changed the listing. Before he was saying 500 original miles. Now he just made up a number.

I saw that too. He's still lower than what I found. It has to be at least 600 more than what he's currently claiming.

I saw this a couple days ago when doing my usual Ebay searches. It was listed at 500 miles and I saw the obvious flaws. Particularly the underside of the pipes look much older, dirty and worn. There are scratches on the gauges that don't look right and magic marker touch ups on the side covers.

I have a 2007 with 6000 miles and it looks much better than this.

The black fuel cap is not correct either.

I just wrote it off as a crashed bike someone put together or a total scam.

What's up with that swing arm? Did they extend it? Also, why a manual cam chain tensioner at 4000 miles?

+1 on the price and I have an '07 with 83,000 miles in better condition than that one.

Clearly way beyond "too good to be true", and well into "bogus at best".

That fairing makes me want to vomit! I can't think of a better way to absolutely ruin an otherwise beautiful machine….

Still trying to understand how a seller maintains a 100% positive feedback rating while offering something like that. I somehow doubt it's the first time. I guess the buyers don't find out until too late?

If you look at the feedback it comes up with negatives on vehicle sales, but they are older. The feedback for the last year+ is as a buyer. Ebay clears negatives after a certain period of time in the rating. This one is very suspect all the way around.

He showed the gauges when first posted and it showed 500 miles. Then he deleted the picture and changed the mileage in the ad after someone called him on it. Hard to believe someone is that stupid, because anyone can pull the history and see that he lied about it. This is a fraudulent ad.
